Refund Policy:
We do not provide change of mind refunds.
We will however offer refunds should you find within 2 days after making your purchase that the product is not as described. We have noted all features and specifications of our products including a F.A.Q section on our website www.pettrackingoz.com.au so it is your responsibility to make sure the purchase/s suit/s your requirements.

If the goods are faulty on arrival you must notify us within 2 days with proof of purchase. Once we receive the item(s), we will meet our obligations under the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission listed here. No refunds can be given unless faults are not remedied.

Cancellation Policy:

Orders that are still under processing can be cancelled by calling us on 03 9706 3165. Once the product is shipped you cannot cancel the order.

Delivery Policy:

Once they are processed, orders will normally be sent within 1-2 working days via Express Post. Tracking numbers will be given once dispatched. The delivery time for backorders or pre-orders is 5-7 weeks should there be no stock. 

Minimum Smartphone System Requirements For Petrek GPS
We recommend that you use a phone with at least 1000 MHz of processing speed, 3G HSDPA, capacitive touch screen and at least 1GB Ram. For best performance we recommend using Android 2.3 and over.

Microchips Australia does not take any responsibility if your smartphone reacts slowly to alerts and lags while searching as our tracking app requires multiple loads. iPhone users must have iPhone 4 or newer series and will need to check there is enough memory to run the tracking App as some older iPhones may shut down apps in the background causing the App to stop taking location updates of their pets. 

General Terms and Conditions: (Important)
Microchips Australia holds no responsibility if you lose your pet or item whether related directly or indirectly with any of our products. The product has been thoroughly tested by the manufacturer and all products complied at the highest possible standards. Tracking of location is only accurate when there is clear GSM/GPRS network signal and clear GPS signal. Signals can be affected when under metal, concrete or similar structures. If there is no GPS signal, the Petrek GPS will look for the nearest telecommunications cell tower using LBS (location based system) mode. This will not give you the most accurate location but will tell you the area it is in based on the nearest cell tower. If there is no GSM/GPRS reception the tracker will not respond, much like a mobile phone with no reception. 

Battery consumption of the Petrek GPS can vary. The 1600 hour battery life claim is based on the tracker being in standby mode, meaning all GSM and GPS functions are off until the tracker detects movement and turns on again. During standby mode, the tracker will not respond to any updates. Standby battery power saving mode activates after 3 minutes if no movement is detected. Please refer to Petrek’s FAQ area for more information in regards to battery consumption. You are required to charge the tracker for 30min once a day for best performance. 

The Petrek GPS bracket and body is made to be as light as possible so when being attached to the collar do not force the attachment and make sure you follow the instructions as directed. Lintek as manufacturer and Microchips Australia as Australian distributor hold no responsibility if the bracket is damaged due to excessive force or incorrect attachment. The brackets are made to snap off under certain pressure so that smaller pets are not at risk if the tracker gets caught. If your pet/s has/have managed to physically damage the tracker itself we will not be liable. You must make sure that you keep the tracker secure and not allow your pet to damage it in any way. We recommend that you use our silicon reinforcement rings when attaching the tracker to your pet’s collar. 

We do NOT recommend charging your Petrek GPS with your computer or laptop, please charge using only the provided wall charger or any wall charger that provides 5V and 1000mA+ output. 

The unit is IP55 tested and is water splash proof. We do not take responsibility if the tracking units become faulty from liquid damage whether it is because the USB cover has been detached or if the tracker has been submerged fully in water. The user has full responsibility in ensuring that the USB cover is connected and sealed properly before usage. 

All Petrek products come with a standard return to base 12 month warranty from day of purchase. For all items that are not covered under warranty due to physical damage or any sort of unauthorized tampering, the customer will be liable for all shipping and repair services.
